Very Similar to the existing ORB Function. Expected Move Deviations based on Open. I used 9:32 since that's the earliest "entry" time to anchor with mostly clean data. Catch the std deviation breakouts as entry opportunities for reversion/continuation based on opening option straddle pricing.
0-DTE Expected Move Trigger Rules:
2 user inputs: Deviation Multiplier, and until "input time".
3 Defined Options
Switch 1 (Above Price Deviation) [ +[input multiplier] STD Deviation from 9:32 til [input time] )
-- OHLC > (9:32 open + ((9:32 ATM straddle) * [input multiplier]))
Switch 2 (Below Price Deviation ) ( -[input multiplier] STD Deviation from 9:32 til [input time] )
-- OHLC < (9:32 open - ((9:32 ATM straddle) * [input multiplier]))
Switch 3 (Inside Deviation, non breach) ( [input multiplier] from between 9:32 til [input time] then trigger)
-- OHLC < (9:32 open + ((9:32 ATM straddle) * [input multiplier]))
&& OHLC > (9:32 open - ((9:32 ATM straddle) * [input multiplier]))
I've seen some interesting data on this, and would love to be able to backtest it.
